The reflection capacity of the moon is so high that the reflected light can penetrate through the blue light scattered in the sky.
Many people think that when the sun rises in the east, the moon sets in the west. But the reality is that the moon is only opposite the sun when it is in full circle. Theoretically, the moon is visible in the night sky all the time, even during the day. The only exceptions are if you are very close to the sun (during the new moon) or if you are very far from the sun (full moon).
