The best time to check your pulse is when you are resting. Other times when you are engaged in various activities, such as exercising or doing physical work, the heart rate may increase. As a result, accurate readings are not obtained by examining the pulse.
You can also test the radial pulse on the wrist or neck if you want. To make the wrist vibrate, just hold the palm of your hand and hold it high. Then place the index finger and middle finger of the other hand under the fold of the wrist. Now tap gently, and notice the pulse beat carefully.
If you want to check the vibration of the neck, still move those two fingers under the jaw, next to the trachea.
Once you find the pulse, calculate using a clock using the other hand how many bits are being generated per minute. The average heart rate of an adult is between 80 and 100 beats per minute.
